Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative is a not-for-profit organization that is owned by its members—the people who receive their electric service from us.  We strive to provide opportunities for them that will enhance their quality of life.  
 

A number of our programs offer our members a variety of payment options as well as ways to spend their energy dollars more sparingly.  Cooperative Living magazine and other publications keep members informed on happenings that involve the Cooperative and the electric utility industry.  And some of our programs, such as Cooperative Watch and Third Party Notification, are created to offer our members greater peace of mind.  In looking for opportunities for our members, we carefully match member needs with management and financial capacities and competitive analysis.
