Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative recently hosted a hot dog lunch to reward the students who reached their reading goals in the Accelerated Reader program at Chase City and Clarksville elementary schools. Casey Logan, MEC president and CEO, spoke to the students in attendance, emphasizing the importance of good reading skills in every profession and encouraged them to continue in the AR program. After lunch, students got to talk to lineworkers about what they do, and at the end of the program, each student was recognized and received a special gift.
